If you enjoy exploring new hacking routes, The Folly is in an excellent spot. Located directly on the Three Shires Way, riders can head out from the lane and follow peaceful bridleways, woodland tracks and quiet country roads for hours at a time.
The pace here is relaxed. No arenas. No lorries. Just long views, hedgerows, and the kind of countryside that makes you breathe a little deeper.
Horses staying at The Folly have exclusive use of a one-acre paddock located just across the lane. Depending on your horse’s needs, the paddock can be opened for full grazing or restricted.
There is currently no indoor stabling. The set-up is ideal for horses who live out and enjoy relaxed countryside hacking.
Riding the Three Shires Way
The Three Shires Way stretches 37 miles through Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire, linking farmland, woodland and quiet villages. From The Folly you can join the route directly, making it easy to enjoy long rides without loading up a trailer.

With direct access to bridleways and quiet lanes, it’s an easy place to spend long days exploring the local area at an unhurried pace. It also works well for couples or friends travelling together with their horses, whether for a short break or a longer riding holiday.
